Antique Nihonto - Aikuchi Tanto - Edo Period

This type of tanto has a full rayskin wrap around the hilt. Instead of a tsuba guard and seppa, it has a buffalo horn.  The saya has a kaeri tsuno (turn-back horn).

There's a small nick in the edge about 2" from the habaki (see picture) and there is some light, non-active rust.
