We are proud to offer Legacy Blades' Odachi/Nodachi with exceptional craftsmanship at an affordable price. Odachi (great sword, also referred to as Nodachi or "field sword") were a battlefield weapon used by the Samurai during feudal Japan. These are difficult to produce due to their length and expertise required for traditional heat treatment, and Legacy Blades has the process mastered. The blade is forged from 1095 steel, folded and clay-tempered which displays a beautiful Hamon with clearly visible folding grains. The Bo-hi (fuller) further adds to the Odachi with reduced weight for excellent cutting performance and Tachikaze. Six colors available, each with a matched black Ishime (stone texture) Saya (scabbard). *Purple model features a matte, flat black Saya.
