This sword was made in Echizen around 1648 by Sagami no Kami Fujiwara Kunitsuna, a senior desciple of First Generation Echizen Kaneue. He belonged to the Echizen branch of the Shimosaka school.
Kunitsuna's real name was Tabei, and he later moved to Edo.
