In the popular hit series Rurouni Kenshin, the term "Hitokiri Battousai" refers to Himura Kenshin's past as a deadly assassin during the Bakumatsu era, before he adopted the name and path of a wandering swordsman. The sword he used during that time, while not explicitly named in the Manga or Anime, is often depicted as a standard Katana, distinct from his later Sakabatล (reverse-blade sword). The master smiths from Phoenix Armory have created this faithful replica, forged from durable 65Mn spring steel.
