Zweihänder swords developed from the longswords of the Late Middle Ages and became the hallmark weapon of the German Landsknechte from the time of Maximilian I (d. 1519) and during the Italian Wars of 1494–1559. The Goliath Fechtbuch (1510) shows an intermediate form between longsword and Zweihänder.

This represented the final stage in the trend of making very large swords, which started in the 14th century, and ended in the 16th century. In its developed form, the Zweihänder acquired the handling characteristics of a polearm rather than a sword due to its increased size and weight, therefore adding to its striking power and longer reach. Consequently, it was not carried in a sheath, but across the shoulder like a pike or halberd.

The Swordier Zweihander is meticulously crafted to deliver the authentic feel and performance of the original. Its combat-capable spring steel blade (120cm in length) offer incredible resilience and sharpness, capable of handling both cutting and thrusting techniques. The overall length of 168 cm and 2.5 Kg weight ensures a perfect balance between control and power, making it ideal of training, reenactment, or display.

By placing an order with RVA Katana, the customer affirms they are a legal adult in their country of residence, and will comply with all local, state, and national laws regarding their order. US ORDERS 

We make every attempt to ship within three business days by the customer’s preferred shipping method.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Please note that the customer is responsible for understanding the import restrictions of their country, and that RVA Katana is not responsible for items seized in customs, or for swords that are not delivered for failure of the customer to pay customs, duties, or other carrier fees.

INCORRECT SHIPPING INFORMATION

If you accidentally enter an incorrect address, we are able to change it in our system free of charge before shipping.  If you inform us after shipping, then we are not responsible for lost packages or return fees.

Returns

You may return any item unused within three days of receipt at your cost (we can provide a shipping label at reduced rates).  After inspection of the returned item, we will refund you for the cost of said item, minus any shipping charges that we have covered.

After three days, a 20% restocking fee applies to any return.
