This Tachi uses W1 cable steel, and is clay-tempered on both edges. Based on early Heian period tachi, it has a deep koshizori curvature.
Tachi fittings are bright brass in a Tang Dynasty transitional style, cast by a company specializing in replacement fittings for Chinese antique furnishings.
